Although considered to be notable producers of noble Riesling wines, our Pinot Blanc is certainly no accident.

This is a wine that fully reflects its origins: a personification of the complex volcanic rock that lies beneath the vineyard soil. A wine that manages to combine dense volcanic minerality with succulence and smoothness and delicacy… a nutty nose with discreet fruitiness… tenacious on the tongue, yet with a refined elegance.

‘Altenbamberger Rotenberg’ and ‘Schlossböckelheimer Kupfergrube’ are the two great sites from which the grapes for this wine are harvested. The rugged, south facing terraces of the ‘Kupfergrube’ create powerful and intense aromas. The volcanic rhyolites of the ‘Rotenberg’ underpin and enhance the wine’s smooth character.
