Hubertus Clüsserath Riesling Kabinett

The steep slope of the estate’s south / south-east facing Trittenheimer Altärchen vineyard produces a cooler micro-climate where the early sun dries the grapes, whilst the afternoon sun is rather weak. The blue slate soil of the vineyard gives this richly textured wine its special punch.

Kabinett is the lightest, most delicate style of Riesling, produced from grapes picked early in the harvest. Super-bright, vibrant, pale yellow in colour, round and fruity on the nose, with notes of apple, pear and pineapple. The palate is mellow with a clear fruity taste and a strong mineral character. Characterised by its elegance, the wine’s acidity is well balanced by the residual sugar before the long, off-dry finish.
