Hubertus Clüsserath Riesling Sekt

This fine sparking Riesling, sourced from the estate’s vineyards in the ‘Middle Mosel’, stands very much on its own merits, the result of meticulous work in the field, hand-selection of the grapes followed by gentle handling, using only the juice from the first pressing, careful processing in the cellar, and long ageing on the yeast.

Zesty green apple and crisp stone fruits are electrified by spine-tingling acidity in this invigorating bottle-fermented, refreshing Sekt. A hint of biscuit crumbs lingers on the mid-palate, and the tiny, vigorous bubbles dissipate elegantly on the finish. This is a Sekt that’s choc-full of pure Riesling fruit characteristics, whilst the minerality that comes from the slate-rich soils gives the wine excellent ageing potential: this wine is a proud celebration of a long German wine-making tradition.
