Hubertus Clüsserath Riesling Spätlese Feinherb

Made from selective hand picking from very ripe Riesling grape vines. These vines are un-grafted, taking us back to pre-phylloxera days, as well as being old, so producing lower yields, they possess an inimitable quality and profound complexity.

A nose full of the fruit aromas of ripe peach, with the same fruit notes carried through on the palate.
The wine shows all the characteristics of the vineyard terroir where the highly weathered slate soil adds mineral complexity with a long-lasting finish.

Grape Variety Riesling
Classification Spätlese
Taste Medium dry
Exposure Steep, south-west facing

If a dish is so intense or fiery that beer seems the only option, try an off-dry Riesling instead. The extra sugar in the wine counters the heat, while the chillies in the dish make the wine taste less sweet.
