Künstler Rüdesheim Berg Rottland Riesling GG VDP.Grosse Lage®

This bright, clear wine has a flavour of ripe peaches and candied pineapple, with a deep texture and a long and lingering finish with the typical lemon note of good Riesling.

Fermented and stored in 1,200 litre oak barrels, the wine has smoothness and complexity, and although still young, the wine already shows intensive aromas with hints of pastries and toffee.

The vineyard site is one of the steepest in the whole Rheingau valley which, together with the 400 million year old grey slate soils, contributes to the unique character of this wine.

Residual Sugar 5.1 g/l
Acidity 8.4 g/l
Alcohol 12.5 %

From one of the steepest and most noble sites in the Rheingau, this ‘GG’ gourmet wine displays all the characteristics that fine dining requires. Pair it with meats such as rose veal, oven-baked fish and other seafoods.

Whilst being a serious, noble wine, it’s also perfect with a genuine veal-based Wiener Schnitzel with new or sautéed potatoes and a hollandaise sauce. At the same time, it’s also a wine that can handle strong or spicy cheeses beautifully, like Roquefort, Manchego and the like, as well as big, bold, rich soups such as bouillabaisse, chowder or goulash.
