The grapes for this Riesling, grown in the stony and slate-rich soils of the estate’s steeply-sloped, south-west facing Altärchen vineyard, are marked by a fine, filigree minerality (Mineralität) that comes from the shale soils.

This elegant wine, with its fine, natural sweetness, great fruit flavours and a fine aroma of apricot, together with grapefruit and orange peel, lively acidity and long mineral-rich finish, has long ageing potential.
