A delicious combination of two grape varieties, 50% Chenin Blanc and 50% Sauvignon Blanc, with a fruit-driven nose and palate of grapefruit. Made in the ‘South African style’ by rising star winemaker, Maximilian Stigler, who has gained much winemaking experience in South Africa’s Western Cape. The wine was fermented in stainless steel tanks, and stored in large wooden barrels before bottling.
All the grapes for this wine were grown on the volcanic soil of the Ihringer Winklerberg vineyard, renowned for its quality since the 19th Century. This classic blend of Chenin Blanc and Sauvignon Blanc takes in all the structure, fruit and minerality of the Kaiserstühl resulting in a wine of great style and complexity, showing the very best of both cultivars.
