Weingut Künstler – Rheingau

The Künstler estate winery, today located in the Rheingau, has been a family-owned business since 1648 and produces unique, harmonious and multi-layered wines, with considerable ageing potential, where the fruitiness of the grapes and the character of each vineyard shines through in the glass.

The wines combine the knowledge and sensitivity for winemaking, passed down the generations, where the taste of the grapes, the aroma of the musts and, above all, the harmony of the wines are underpinned by investment in the latest wine-making facilities.

The estate’s white wines undergo slow and controlled fermentation in stainless steel vats or traditional wooden barrels, then are stored on the lees until bottling to produce wines that are extract-rich, terroir-driven and full of life.

Künstler’s reds are produced using a basket press, stored for 12 months in vats or oak barrels, then matured for a further 12 months in bottle, to create wines of great brilliance and clarity that are powerful, harmonious, extract-rich, terroir-driven and lively with lots of potential for ageing.
